IFilter

An IFilter is a plugin that enables Windows Indexing Service and Windows Desktop Search to index different file formats and make them searchable. For example, a PDF IFilter enables Windows to parse out just the text and metadata out of a PDF, so that that PDF shows up in Windows Desktop Search results.

Enfold Server integrates Plone with the Windows Desktop Search, so that any file format you can search for natively within Windows, you can also search for within your Plone site.

Process Affinity

Windows-only for now. Set environment variable 'ZOPE_PROCESS_AFFINITY' to the proccess affinity mask desired. Instead of doing this in the environment itself, you can set the variable on 'zope.conf', using the <environment> directive. See the Zope documentation for more details.

The following example shows how to bind the Zope process to processor 1:
